Lisa’s icebreakers voice

Lisa Yuson has her own Grok bot. That bot runs the icebreakers app. When she speaks, the room hears the ElevenLabs voice already on the Lisa Yuson avatar.

Which Lisa this is

This page is the icebreakers host. She is a separate Grok bot. She sits on the computer that will run during the show. She changes slides and sessions. Her spoken lines use one ElevenLabs voice ID.

The split

Grok Bot is the brain. ElevenLabs is the mouth. The plugin turns her text reply into an MP3 in the avatar voice, and the event computer plays that file into the room.

Grok’s built-in voice mode is the spare. It needs no plugin. It is a different voice from the Lisa Yuson avatar. Use it when ElevenLabs is down and silence is worse.

1. Add the ElevenLabs plugin to Lisa’s bot

Do this on Lisa’s Grok bot account. Open that bot’s plugins, or open this listing while you are signed into her account:

ElevenLabs for Grok Bot (plugin id 56235003, published by ElevenLabs). The same plugin is on the Cursor marketplace. With the Grok Bot app installed, this opens the add flow: grokbot://app/v1/plugin/add?id=56235003.

  1. Add the plugin.
  2. Sign in with the ElevenLabs account that owns the Lisa Yuson avatar voice. That sign-in is OAuth.
  3. Ask her to list the voices on that account, then to generate one short line.

The plugin repo documents the hosted connector at api.elevenlabs.io/v1/mcp. That connection authenticates with the ElevenLabs login. It does not ask you to paste an API key into the chat. The readme says that login can generate speech. The plugin also includes a speech-to-text skill (Scribe) and a separate setup skill for an API key.

Leave the key out of the chat. If a tool asks for xi-api-key, stop and use the account you just signed in. A key that must live on the event Mac follows the keychain note.

2. Copy the voice ID

In the ElevenLabs dashboard, open My Voices on the account that owns the avatar. Find the voice already used for Lisa Yuson. Click More actions (the three dots), then Copy voice ID.

ElevenLabs documents that click path in How do I find the voice ID. My Voices is at elevenlabs.io/app/voice-lab.

Paste the ID into Lisa’s bot, in the prompt below, and tell her that every spoken icebreakers line uses it. The ID stays off this public page.

3. Give her the icebreakers app

On the computer that will run during the event, she needs the icebreakers app open and drivable. Browser control on that machine is enough. Use an API or a script only if that app already has one. This site does not document a control API for it, so the test is the live board.

Say these, one at a time, and watch the screen:

  • Next slide.
  • Previous slide.
  • Move to the next session.
  • Show icebreaker X. Use a real name from the deck.

Leave the login on that computer. A saved browser session is the point. She should be able to move the room without asking anyone for a password mid-session.

Guests do not get this admin view. Their setup stays on the attendee page.

4. The live voice loop

This is the version to rehearse. The bot decides and moves the slides. ElevenLabs only speaks.

  1. Input. A mic in the room, or a laptop near the stage. Speech-to-text can be ElevenLabs (the plugin’s speech-to-text skill), or a local Whisper or browser speech-to-text script on Lisa’s computer.
  2. Processing. The transcript goes to Lisa’s bot as a normal message.
  3. Action. She replies in text and performs the slide or session change.
  4. Output. She calls the plugin with the Lisa voice ID, gets the audio, and plays it through the room speakers.

If the plugin plays into the wrong output, have her save the file and play it from the event computer into the PA. One play command. The computer is still her computer.

5. The short version for show day

If the full loop is late or the network is shaky, drop to this:

  • She stays in text for the icebreakers app. Slides still move.
  • One trigger speaks her latest reply. A button, a hotkey, or a short command is enough. The trigger calls ElevenLabs with the Lisa voice ID.
  • A person in the room can type or speak the command if the mic path fails.

Rehearse this version once, after the full loop works. It is the path you will actually use if the first test of the morning is slow.

6. Before doors

  • The plugin is connected. A test line uses the Lisa voice ID, and you recognize the avatar voice.
  • She opens the icebreakers app from her computer and does next, previous, and a session change.
  • Playback comes out of the speakers you will use in the room.
  • End to end: someone speaks a command, a slide moves, and the reply is the ElevenLabs voice.
  • Typed commands still move the board. A person can play the audio file if the voice is late.

7. Prompt to paste into Lisa’s bot

Connect the plugin first. Replace [paste ID] with the voice ID from step 2. Then paste the whole block into her bot.

You are the icebreakers host for Cross Border Summit.

Use the ElevenLabs voice ID [paste ID] for every spoken reply. That ID is the Lisa Yuson avatar voice. Do not switch voices.

When I, or anyone in this chat, asks you to switch slides or move sessions, control the icebreakers app on your computer. Then confirm out loud with the ElevenLabs voice.

Commands you must be able to do: next slide, previous slide, move to the next session, show icebreaker X.

Keep replies short and energetic. Do one action, then speak the confirmation.

If ElevenLabs fails, say so in text and wait. Do not invent a different voice.
