Happy Father's Day to all the fellow dads out there.
I am feeling especially grateful this week. I am blessed with a happy and healthy family, and sometimes in the middle of all the work, stress, AI changes, launches, sales calls, and business development, it is easy to forget that this is what it is really about.
Maggie and Miles are now 10 and 12 years old. They are growing fast, and it keeps reminding me that time is moving whether we are ready or not. Work matters, building matters, serving customers matters, but family is still the center of it all.
Right after Father's Day, I am back on the road again. This time I am heading down to Hua Hin, the coastal city in southern Thailand, for a seller villa coworking experience. A few ecommerce sellers and I will be coworking together at a villa, sharing what we are building, talking through operations, and getting some focused time outside the normal routine.
I will also be meeting supplier partners about further business expansion. That has been a recurring theme lately: better supplier relationships, stronger operator relationships, and more real-world time with the people who help make these businesses work.
On the software and AI side, we are still building out more agentic commerce tools for BuildMyOnlineStore. One of the threads I am excited about is conversational store add-ons, so agents can integrate more closely into the store and shopping experience.
Agentic commerce is not just one thing. There are agentic stores, conversational stores, seller tools, onboarding systems, and follow-up systems. After kicking off the EmpowerTheSeller / GFA live show this past week, the next step is feedback and refinement. What confused people? What got them excited? What should become the simplest next step for sellers?
That also connects to BMOS onboarding. New AI-agent and done-for-you tools are raising the bar. We need to make it easier for a seller to get value quickly, with less setup and less explanation.
Another new thread this week is The Fly Sales, which is the product/brand direction for the ecommerce brain Christian has been building and implementing. The goal is to connect that into the EmpowerTheSeller ecosystem without making the offer confusing.
Behind the scenes, there is also a lot of operating work: HeadlessDomains partner porting, NB registry migration planning, more IT ownership moving to Manly, Cross Border Summit speaker and marketing work, and marketing automation so we can follow up better without adding more manual work.
Looking ahead to the summer, I am planning to head to Ho Chi Minh City in mid-July for Horizon.ai 2026. It is on the calendar for July 17-19, and I am planning to take Miles with me to help work the booth. Get him working early.
You can check the event calendar at mikesblogdesign.com/calendar2026 for Horizon.ai and the other events coming up this year.
That is the rhythm right now: family, travel, seller relationships, supplier relationships, agentic commerce, and trying to keep building in a way that matters. Make the most of the week ahead, and remember what you are building for.
