Model: Samsung Galaxy A52 5G (SM-A526B/DS)
The error is almost always lint, dust, or a software glitch — not actual water.

Clean the USB-C Port (90% Fix Rate!)

The A52’s port is deep and narrow — lint builds up fast.

  • Turn off your phone (optional).
  • Use a flashlight — look for gray/white lint inside.
  • Use a wooden toothpick or plastic dental pick (NO metal!).
  • Gently scrape the center tongue and side walls.
  • Pull out chunks — repeat until clean.
  • Blow gently or use compressed air.
  • Wipe with dry microfiber cloth.

Even 1mm of lint triggers the sensor!

Force Restart + Clear USB Cache

  1. Press and hold Power + Volume Down for 10–15 seconds until reboot.
  2. Go to Settings > Apps > ⋮ > Show system apps
  3. Search: USBSettings
  4. Tap → Storage & cache → Clear cache (don’t clear data)
  5. Restart phone

Dry It (Even If It’s Dry)

  • Place phone port-down near a fan (cool air) or in AC room for 30–60 mins.

Avoid rice — it pushes dust deeper!

Test Charging

  • Use original Samsung cable + charger.
  • Plug in slowly — if “Charging”, leave it 5 mins.
  • If error returns: unplug, wait 10 sec, retry.

Disable Fast Charging (Temporary Bypass)

  • Go to Settings > Battery > Charging
  • Turn OFF “Fast charging”
  • Try charging — often bypasses the sensor.
  • Turn back on later.

Safe Mode Test (App Conflict?)

  1. Hold Power button → Long-press “Power off” → Tap “Safe Mode”
  2. If it charges → a 3rd-party app is interfering.
  3. Uninstall recent apps (cleaners, battery savers).

Factory Reset (Last Resort)

Backup first! (Samsung Cloud or PC)

  • Settings > General management > Reset > Factory data reset

Erases all data!
